Edit: My previous dental experiences have been FAR from fun (a completely different practice) so I've avoided being seen for some years. Initially I had my 6 year old set up to get treatments and regular visits with Doctor Tucker on the children's side of Union Village. He was such a great doctor that I let my guard down. Last week, I broke a tooth and the following day, I met with Doctor Oweis, Brigette, and Haiti, and I can say, all the anxiety I've had has decreased significantly. All the girls were so personable and Doctor Oweis took me seriously when I stated that the typical dose for the local anesthesia is not enough. She didn't question me a whole lot in regards to that. She was also incredibly quick, and efficient. I ended up needing a root canal, but more than anything, I was so grateful that I didn't need to have the tooth extracted despite the break being so close to the root. Doctor Oweis also paraphrased me when I stated that I have anxiety and that they would do only what is necessary and to slowly work our way to other things to not exacerbate any feelings of being uncomfortable. I really felt like I was seen, heard, and understood. I felt safe and comfortable when Doctor Oweis started the first steps of my root canal. When she started numbing me, she even made sure I was breathing (😂 I guess everyone holds their breath when they get shots) She was so quick, that I didn't even have time to finish thinking about what I was going to do with the rest of the day. She took maybe 15 minutes to do the procedure that ensured I was feeling less overall pain from the broken molar. Update: I went in a couple days later and was seen by the Endodontist, Doctor Ludy and Sarahi. I've has a root canal before but this time, it was a much better experience. He probably asked me if I was okay every 5 minutes. Even though I couldn't see anything, his hand movements seemed incredibly precise. He made sure I was comfortable every step of the way, ensuring I had extra local anesthesia, and even lowered the chair further after finding out I was prone to fainting. Unfortunately, they found a fourth root on my molar hiding behind on the xrays (Yay, I'm special! Haha). Even though the whole procedure was a lot quicker than the first one I had been through (from another dental office and different doctor), he did it in such a way that didn't feel rushed. If you need a bite block, he's got the best bite block ever (also, his pokemon jokes are top tier 😩) When they were finishing up, Sarahi told me that Doctor Ludy had explained to her before that if the temporary cap was too high, the patients would feel like they were having a severe toothache, something I realized I was feeling the day before. A couple days later, when I was starting to understand my bite better, I booked another appointment to file the temporary a bit more. I met with Doctor Browning to shorten the cap out and even though the visit was super short, she was so kind and understanding. I used to really love the dentist as a kid. Somewhere along the way, it stopped feeling like a normal but important visit. Instead, it felt like a chore. It doesn't feel so much like that after these last few visits. Appointments can be done online, their Union Village's app is pretty streamlined, you can see the details of every visit you've had and visits coming up as well as the list of providers who have helped you in the past. The front desk people are very sweet. They offer financing for some of the treatments. When it comes to root canals, they don't charge by how many roots (like the previous one did), but rather by the type of tooth, so you don't have to worry about unique 4 roots or even rarer 5th roots. I hope anyone looking at these reviews finds peace with their providers. Don't keep yourself on the backburner if you can help it.

First time at this provider and it was a great experience. Everyone was warm, welcoming, and helpful! Bridgit, Haidiee, Dr. Oweis, and everyone else up front were great! I plan on transitioning all of my dental care here!
